After a four week break Redruth Colts are back in action this coming weekend with a trip down to Helston. Redruth travel in sixth place in the table after a home defeat by Perranporth.
Helston have struggled this season and are yet to win a game, their only points coming from a 10-all draw away to Saltash back in September.
The existing Helston club was formed in 1965 but it is not the first rugby side to be set up in the town. Indeed, Redruth travelled to play Helston back in 1883 in a game where storm conditions made it so bad that the Redruth side packed up and went home. The newspapers of the time reported a number of games played by Helston during that period.
