The problem with having a game in hand is that it eventually has to be played so Redruth 2s will have their Easter weekend interrupted with a league game against Truro. The boys will be looking to bounce back from the 39-24 defeat up at Saltash last week which demonstrated how hard a basement club will fight to avoid the drop.
That defeat left the Reds in 5th place just four points behind this weekend’s visitors Truro, who lost 29-20 at Penryn last Saturday. The Reds will be looking for maximum points to move them up to fourth.
This fixture has been cancelled twice due to the wet weather over the winter. The away game at Truro at the beginning of March saw the Reds lose 22-20 against a side that were defending an unbeaten home record.
