Redruth 2s will be crossing their fingers that the rain eases off this week as they look to host Barnstaple at the Rec on Saturday. The side has not had a competitive game for a month after matches against Truro and Torquay, twice in the case of the Devon side, have fallen victim to the weather.
The Reds go into the game in 6th place in the table although they are only two points behind third placed Kingsbridge and have a game in hand over Truro and Paignton. Their last outing saw them beat Plymstock Oaks 33-24 and complete a double over the Devon side in a game played up at Trewirgie.
The side will also be looking to complete a double over this weekends visitors having beaten Barnstaple 31-28 in a hard-fought game up in North Devon back in October. Barnstaple arrive in 8th place after a convincing 27-12 home win over Newton Abbot.
