Redruth 2s make the short trip down to the coast on Saturday to take on St Ives. The team travel in third place in the table after last weeks home defeat of Saltash. They are separated from second placed Paignton merely on points difference but have a game in hand.
St Ives too have had a good season and are one place below the Reds in the table, five points behind and on the same number of games. Their last outing saw them go down to a 21-10 home defeat by Torquay.
St Ives, known as ‘The Hakes’ came to life officially in 1889 but a number of smaller teams, including St Ives Midgets had been playing the game previously. It was the decision to merge theses side that created St Ives RFC.
