I don’t know why but going to North Devon from any direction always feels like the longest journey on earth and that’s where Redruth 2s are headed this coming Saturday to play their opposite numbers at Barnstaple. It couldn’t be any tighter at the top of the table with three teams, Paignton, Wiveliscombe and Red 2s all at the top and separated only by points difference.

Last week the Reds disposed of Torquay Athletic 21-12 at the Rec and will be hoping to keep the momentum going. Barnstaple Athletic, as their 2s are dubbed, are currently in 5th place in the table six points behind the top three. Their last outing secured a 30-24 win at Newton Abbot.
