
After a break from league action last week Redruth 2s are back on the road, this time for a trip across the Tamar to face Plymstock Albion Oaks. It’s played two, won one so far this season as the side look to consolidate and improve on their strong start at this level last year. A narrow defeat away at Wiveliscombe on the first day of this campaign was followed by a 37-29 home victory over a strong Paignton side.
Plymstock were one of the form teams in Counties 1 Tribute Western West finishing fourth last season one place and ten points clear of the Reds. They got this season off to a flying start with a 55-41 home win over Torquay Athletic but lost 57-7 away to Barnstaple. Last week they were in Devon Intermediate Cup action at Teignmouth, a club that plays at the next level up in the system, winning 47-27.
