A strong performance saw Reds 2’s just fall short at Wiveliscombe last week but the team managed to bring back 2 points from a club with a good home record in the league.

This week they are back home to take on Paignton. The Devon side finished second in the table last season, just three points behind Pirates Amateurs. They also finished second behind Tiverton in 2023/24 so will see themselves as one of the favourites for promotion this season.

Paignton RFC was formed in 1891 following a number of attempts to get a club underway in the Devon town. They were promoted out of Cornwall/Devon (Tier 8) up to Western Counties West in 2020. They struggled in the first couple of seasons but have been one of the form sides ever since.
