Redruth 2nds are back on the road again this week, this time all the way up to the north of Somerset to face Wiveliscombe, who currently sit at 6th place in the table, just six points behind the Reds.
The Twos had a bit of a torrid time of it on the road at Barnstaple last week. The home side showed why they had amassed a string of try bonus points this season by running in six without reply to race to a 40-0 lead, Redruth just managing one consolation try late in the game to make the final score 40-7.
The Reds played Wiveliscombe in the earlier fixture back in November, winning 22-14 after being 9-0 up at half time. They successfully soaked up pressure from the visitors in the second half to take the honours.
The 2nds have just two more league games left after this weekend, a trip to St Ives on 22nd March and a home fixture against Kingsbridge the week after. In the meantime they will face Launceston II in a Cup match next week.
Referee: Ben Pomeroy.
