No 1st XV game this weekend but no excuse for not getting down to the Rec on Saturday to cheer on the 2nds against Tavistock.
The Reds come to this game in 5th place in the table following a 29-5 home defeat by in-form Pirates Amateurs, which ended a five match winning run. Since their difficult start at this level, when they faced a string of away games against some of the strongest sides in this league, they have found their feet and look good for a mid-table finish and currently have a game in hand over three of the top four sides.
Back in October the trip to Tavistock saw the Reds take control of the game in the first half, then have to face a determined fight-back from the Devon side before coming home with a 36-34 win, their first five pointer of this season. Tavistock have not had the best of times since that encounter and are now hovering dangerously close to the drop.
Redruth 2 v Tavistock. Kick-off 2.30pm. Referee: Kirk Sheridan.
