On Saturday the 2's continue on their quest to win the league when they travel to Penryn to take on Camborne School of Mines with a 2.30pm kick-off.

The Students play their rugby these days at Penryn RFC the 'School' having moved to the university campus from pool some time back. By virtue of being a student club the strength of their side can vary greatly with the early part of the season often proving challenging. CSoM have only won 1 of their 14 matches that coming away to Bodmin just before Christmas by 33-22 and this marked a clear improvement inform as their results over the last 6 weeks or so have been much better that the early part of the season. Despite this CSoM do sit in bottom place on only 6 points with a -425 points difference. Last Saturday the students played Veor RFC on the top pitch at Redruth RFC losing 39-22.

The Redruth 2nds continued their winning ways last Saturday with a big 71-0 win over Illogan Park RFC, this win kept them in the top spot with 64 points, 3 ahead of rivals for the title Saltash RFC. Saltash do though have a slightly better points difference, + 583 compared to the Reds +572. Saltash are going to be difficult to shake off as last week they beat 3rd placed side Perranporth by 62-9.
At present the Reds leading scorer Dean Wills is also the leagues leading scorer with 238 points and he is also the leagues leading try score with 12, Jayden Oakes (currently injured) is just behind on 11 and Mike Allen has 10.
