On Saturday the 2's continue their quest to win the league when they travel to mid Cornwall to play Bodmin RFC at their excellent facilities by the A30 with a 2.30pm kick-off.
Bodmin are having a difficult season and so far have only the two wins to their name out of 18 fixtures, these coming against Illogan Park and Camborne School of Mines.
Back in November the Reds won the encounter at the Recreation Ground by the imposing score line of 100-5. Nobody is expecting anything like the same on Saturday as Bodmin are a tough nut to crack on their own patch.
Last Saturday the Reds ran riot at the Recreation Ground beating Camborne School of Mines by 100-0. The way the young side threw the ball around, in what were not great conditions, was a joy to behold.
The Reds remain in top spot 3 points clear of Saltash RFC and it looks increasingly lightly that the league will be decided when the two clubs face each other on the 23rd March at Saltash.
At present the Reds leading scorer Dean Wills is also the leagues leading scorer with 280 points and he is also the leagues leading try scorer, along with Mike Allen, on 16.
Matches remaining for the top two.
Redruth: Bodmin, Saltash, St.Just.
Saltash: Newquay Hornets, Redruth, St.Just.
The Reds now have the better points difference, + 806 which is 37 better than Saltash who are on +769.
Referee: TBC
Look out for team news on Friday.
