MATCH POSTPONED
On Saturday the 2's continue their quest to win the league when they host St.Just RFC with a 2.30pm kick-off.
So far St.Just are having a decent season and have won 10 of their 18 matches. Probably their best win was a 17-0 away win at St.Austell against the 'Sinners'. Last time out they narrowly lost to an improving Newquay Hornets side by 15-8. This all leaves the men from the far west in 5th place on 49 points. Back in November the Reds won the encounter at St.Just by 56-19.
The Redruth 2nds had a blank weekend last Saturday but the week before kept their title challenge on track with a 44-0 win over Veor.
The Reds remain in top spot 3 points clear of Saltash RFC and it looks increasingly lightly that the league will be decided when the two clubs face each other on the 23rd March at Saltash. A supporters coach will be running to this fixture, tickets available from Theresa Parr, 07919 141590.
At present the Reds leading scorer Dean Wills is also the leagues leading scorer with 280 points and he is also the leagues leading try scorer with 16, Mike Allen (who is the leagues second highest try scorer) is not far behind on 14..
