On Saturday the 2's continue their quest to win the league when they host Newquay Hornets RFC with a 2.30pm kick-off.
So far this season Hornets have won only 6 of their 16 matches but they are now on a good run of form having won their last three matches, 38-7 at Illogan Park, 44-5 at home to Liskeard-Looe and last week a 23-17 victory over Veor in a game played at Redruth RFC on the top pitch. This leaves the visitors in 8th place on 33 points with a -79 points difference. Hornets top try scores are Lee Pascoe (scrum-half) with 8 and Matt Bosley (wing) with 7, their leading points scorer is Jacob Lewis (fly-half) with 64.
Earlier in the season the Reds won the encounter between the two clubs by 62-0.

The Redruth 2nds had a blank weekend last Saturday with Liskeard-Looe being unable to raise a side. The Reds remain in top spot 8 points clear of Saltash RFC who have a game in hand. The Reds now have a points difference of +622.
At present the Reds leading scorer Dean Wills is also the leagues leading scorer with 248 points and he is also the leagues leading try scorer with 12 along with Mike Allen.
