On Saturday the 2nd XV take on their toughest test of the season so far as they take on Veor RFC. Please note there has been a change of venue and this match is now at HOME. The young Redruth side will see this match as a good test of their progress as the home side did the double last season winning 20-24 at the Rec and by 20-19 at Blaythorne.
Veor are again going well this season winning 5 of their 7 matches their only defeats coming away to Perranporth by 45-34 last time out and away to league leaders Saltash by 45 - 12. This leaves them in 3rd place on 25 points with a +93 points difference.
The Redruth 2nds continued their winning ways with a 62-0 away win over Newquay Hornets in the last league match and a 88-7 cup win away against Bude II last Saturday.
This keeps the Reds in 2nd place on a maximum 30 points, 5 behind leaders Saltash and 5 points ahead of 3rd place Veor, the Reds have a game in hand over both sides. The Reds points difference is +220.
At present their leading scorer Dean Wills is also the leagues leading scorer with 116 points and 8 tries, Jayden Oakes is leagues equal 2nd highest try scorer with 6.
