On Saturday the Reds unbeaten away record will face its hardest test to date as they travel to Bristol to take on Clifton RFC.
The Reds consider this an easy day trip with only the 7 hours or so on the coach, a mere hop-step and a jump!
Clifton play their rugby at Station Road, Cribbs Causeway and have some of the more traditional facilities in the league with a clubhouse full of character and a decent stand to keep out the elements.
Clifton are currently in 3rd place on 73 points having won 15 of their 19 matches and have not tasted defeat since losing away to league leaders Esher in October. Clifton's last outing was a 28-15 away win at Hinckley.
They have racked up the points in a number of games this season putting 106 on Westclif and 71 on Barnstaple and boast a +313 points difference. Clifton's top points scorer is former Redruth player Luke Cozens (fly-half) on 164 points and their top try scorer is Bradley Talbot (No.8) on an impressive 13 trys.
The Reds come into this match after a thumping 43-21 home win over Henley. This win has lifted the Reds up to 2nd place with 74 pts only 2 behind leaders Esher.
It's still very tight at the top with only 8 points covering the top 4 places.
So far this season only 1 player has featured in all 19 league matches and if you read these previews you will be aware that must be Richard Brown. Top of the tries are Richard Brown 11 & Jack Oulton 10. Frazer Honey tops the points tally with 99 but Will Trewin is closing in fast on 82.
If you are unable to make the trip to Clifton why not watch the 2nds take on the Camborne School of Mines in the Kernow League a match now to be played at Redruth.
