Our visitors today need no introduction to the Recreation Ground having become familiar foes over the years. Old Albanian play their rugby at Woollams Playing Fields, a superb set up on the outskirts of St.Albans City consisting of 6 full size pitches and a number of junior pitches. How the other half live! In the curtailed 2019-2020 season they finished in 10th place.

This season has started well for OA's with an excellent win at Henley on the opening day being followed by home wins against Canterbury and Worthing and an away win at Hinckley. The win against Henley was completely overshadowed by the tragic death of Henley's David Hyde after the match. OA's bright start hit a hurdle last week when they lost at home against Worthing. In this early point in the season OA's currently stand in 6th place with 14 points.

The Reds will be glad to get back to the Recreation Ground a full month after the opening day win against Leicester Lions. Since then the Reds have travelled away to both Barnes and Hinckley and come away with a couple of victories. Indeed the Reds are now the only unbeaten side in the division. National 2 South at this stage looks like it could be very competitive, anything up to half a dozen teams look capable of mounting a challenge for the top spot. Hinkley is a long way away but the journey home last weekend must have flown by as the coach celebrated the 41 - 7 points victory.
Lets hope for more of the same on Saturday.
