On Saturday we welcome back to Hellfire Corner Old Albanian who play their rugby in St.Albans, Hertfordshire.
Old Albanians currently find themselves in 10th place with 55 points having won 9 times from their 22 starts. Earlier in the season Redruth had one of those ‘nothing goes wrong’ days and won comfortably by 30-5 up in St.Albans. This match aside though OA’s seem to have specialised in close (albeit losing) matches with the promotion candidates; versus Tonbridge 12-9 & 26-24 (last week) versus Henley 20-16 & 25-18 and versus Taunton 38-36 & 23-22.
Last season both of the matches went the way of the home side.

Last weekend the Reds were blown off course somewhat by Storm Dennis with the match against Leicester Lions being postponed, this match has been rescheduled for the 14th March.

The Reds come into the game riding on a crest of a wave after defeating Tonbridge Juddians 14-3 two weeks ago in front of another big crowd at the Rec. The passion for the shirt and tremendous defensive work by the players was great to see and appreciated by all who were there. The Reds have now won 10 league games on the trot and are currently 4th with 82 points. The Reds top points scorer so far is Fraser Honey on 167 and the top try scorer is Matt Shepherd with 11, Dean Bonds is not far behind on 9 and Richard Brown is flying the flag for the forwards on 7.
