Redruth v Dings Crusaders
Saturday 5th October 2019 – Kick-off 3.00pm
Referee : James Milliner
Assistant Referees: Ian Pengelly & Grant Mossford
On Saturday the Reds welcome back to the Recreation ground Dings Crusaders who have been become familiar visitors over the last decade or so. Last season the Reds did the double over Dings, winning 25-17, away in Bristol, on Dings new fancy plastic pitch and by 33-20 at home on the last game of the season.
Dings return to the Rec in 11th place with 10 points and a won 2, lost 2, record. Like the Reds they won away at Worthing but unlike the Reds they lost heavily to Esher but beat Barnes, so the form guide is somewhat confusing to say the least. I guess it does indicate a closely fought encounter.
The Reds as you will be aware had a very disappointing defeat at home to Barnes two weeks ago but last week bounced back with a bang with a fantastic bonus point away win at Worthing. This leaves the Reds in 10th place with 10 points.
Don’t forget to buy a copy of the match day programme, many new features this season including player profiles and a new column by David Penberthy.
Let’s give it the big Hellfire roar on Saturday and get behind the Reds.
Dos war ty ruth (come on you Reds).
