Redruth v Henley
Saturday 27th October 2018 – Kick-off 3pm
Referee: James Milliner.
Assistant Referees: Matthew Shales & David Philpot.
On Saturday the Reds take on Henley who have made a good start to the season, sitting in 3rd place, with 6 wins so far, Henley could well provide the young Reds with their sternest test of the season so far. Top points scorers for Henley are Roddy Giles (29) and Joe Butler (27), who have shared the kicking duties, and top try scorers are Tom Emery, Xavier Andre and Alex Bradley all with 3. Last Saturday Henley dispatched Worthing by 31 - 22.
The Reds come into the game after suffering only their 2nd defeat of the season losing 33 - 28 at London Irish Wild Geese in a match which kicked off at 5pm to accommodate the hosts. Agonisingly the Reds almost grabbed the win in the last play of the match when Sam Stevens was adjudged held up over the line. This leaves the Reds in a still excellent 4th place just 1 point behind Henley.
Last season the Reds did the double over our visitors, both games were high scoring affairs with the Reds wining 42 – 22 away at Henley and then 49 – 38 in the return fixture. Some more of the same on Saturday would be just perfect.
