Fresh from a 29-7 home victory over Old Redcliffians last week, their second five-pointer in a row, the Reds make what is their second shortest away trip, a mere 93 miles, to Topsham to take on Exeter University. Last weeks win propelled the Reds to 4th place in the table and the boys will be looking to keep the momentum going.
The student side has not had the greatest of starts to the season with just two wins out of five matches played. Judging by match reports, some indiscipline appears to be causing issues for them. Last week their reward for a long trip to Chester was an 11 try, 71-19 walloping by the Cheshire side on a pitch made difficult by Storm Amy.
However, experience tells us that student sides can be unpredictable and Exeter have both a very successful BUCS outfit as well as their close ties with Exeter Chiefs so the Reds will not be underestimating them.
