Fresh from five points on the road at Syston, the Reds are back on home ground for this coming Saturday’s encounter with old Redcliffians. Although we are currently in 7th place in the table, only two points separate us from the second spot with five clubs all having played four and won three.
Bonus points now make a huge contribution to league placings so the boys will be looking for another five pointer this afternoon.
Old Reds haven’t had the best of starts this season having lost their first three games but they did come good at home last week when they ran in eight tries against visiting Chester for a 52-21 victory so they will be fired up for this one.
In the nine games we have played since the Bristol side arrived at this level, Old Reds have won five of them so a win this weekend would level the record.
Referee: Peter Buchanan. Assistant Referees: Rob Lowe & Steffan Anderson-Thomas.
Official Club Statement
Redruth RFC would like to inform supporters that, due to the ongoing installation of new floodlighting, the Top Bank will be closed to spectators on foot for this fixture.
This measure is being taken in the interest of health and safety.
However, please note that the Top Bank will remain open for vehicle parking as normal.
We kindly ask all supporters who usually stand in this area to make alternative arrangements within the ground. Your cooperation and understanding are greatly appreciated as we complete these important improvements to the Recreation Ground.
