After last weekend’s break the Reds face another tough game at home to Taunton Titans. Our last outing saw Hinckley winning 17-8 in a game that saw both sides struggling to make an impact. That result, together with scores from elsewhere, saw Redruth fall back to 8th place in the table, just behind Luctonians on points difference. Titans made hard work of league strugglers Macclesfield a fortnight ago, eventually winning 38-33.

This will be the first time Titans have travelled to Redruth since December 2019 when the Reds ran out 26-20 winners. That season was truncated by the Covid pandemic and Taunton were adjudged champions by the RFU and moved up to National 1. They finished eighth in their first season at that level but that was to be as high as they would get and they slipped back down the table in what has become a highly competitive league.
