This Saturday the Reds welcome to the Recreation Ground, for probably the first time, Dudley Kingswinford RFC, albeit two weeks later than originally scheduled. On the original date DK were unable to field a side strong enough to take part in a level 4 match this forced a postponement on safety grounds.

This match will be the last home game of the season and will feature all the traditional elements. The mini/juniors halftime parade, the post match drinks in Hellfire Corner and the 2nd XV will be presented with their league champions trophy as well. NThe match will also be the last time captain Ben Fox runs out at the Recreation Ground, let’s give him a great send-off.
So make the most of this game as the next one you will see involving Redruth at the Recreation Ground will be a pre-season friendly in our 150th season.

Our visitors who make the trip down the M5 and A30 from the 'Black Country' are not having a season to remember. Having earnt promotion last season from Midlands 1 they are going to end up back there after only one season as they are already confirmed as relegated. DK currently sit in 14th place on 27 points having won only 4 of their 24 matches. Their best win was probably a 33-27 home win over Clifton.
Our visitors top try scorer with 9 is Jasper Smith (2nd row) and top points scorer with 72 points Theodore Mannion (fly-half).
Last time out DK lost at home to Old Reds by 48-14.

The Reds had a disappointing 69-7 defeat last week away at Dings Crusaders where they met the best side in the league needing only 4 points to win the league. They of course achieved this and we wish them well at Level 3. The Reds will be glad to be at home this Saturday and will be aiming to end the season with two victories. This leaves the Reds in 10th place on 60 points, having won 10 and drawn a remarkable 4 of their 24 matches.
The Reds top try scorer remains Matt Pritchard with 8 and Rhys Brownfield still tops the points charts on 43.
Back in December the Reds won the tight encounter between the two sides by 19-14.
