So our first game vs Plymouth Albion ended with Red's Ladies coming out on top with a fantastic 22-10 win.

The first half was very nip and tuck with both sides having scoring opportunitys but some excellent tackling from both sides kept the scoring down. It wasn't until just before half-time that the Reds crossed the white wash with a fine forwards and backs combination try, finished off by no 9 Jacky Jones. Plymouth scored 5mins later right on the half-time whistle (both conversions were unsuccessful).

Reds started the second half very strongly and were soon on top. Fly-half Carrie-Anne Kevern scoring a fine solo try, cutting through the defence, bumping and spinning all the way to the line. 2 mins later Ella Fitzgerald make an outstanding run and was only bought down just before close the line, she offloaded to Jacky Jones to go in for her second. Plymouth Albion hit back once again with a well worked catch and drive from 5 metres out to over in the corner. The game looked to be over but upstepped player of the match, Trudy Watts, to go on one of her many storming runs. She was well tackled and the ball was quickly recycled and with some quick hands from Natalie Martin found Ella Fitzgerald in space who after running over several players touched down under the post and Charity Deakin slotted over the extras to end the game.
