Redruth made the most of the slope and prevailing wind in the second half to end the season with a good win.
Having lost the last four league games it was just the season finale the Redruth faithful had hoped for to see them through the summer break.
Matt Gidlow, playing his final game in the red shirt, led the side out.
Dings enjoyed early domination and opened the scoring with a penalty from wing Harry Tovey, but failed to capitalise on territorial advantage during the first half.
Instead Redruth roared back with a try from wing Dean Bonds, assisted by an off the toe pass from centre Pale Nonu. Richie Kevern added the extras.
With the Reds down to fourteen following a Brad Howe sin-binning, Dings capitalised to score a fine try through experienced centre Luke Arscott bettered by Tovey for a slim half-time advantage.
Redruth struck early in the second half with converted try from Jack Simmons, as the ball fell kindly for the centre, before prop Ashley Challenger rumbled over for Dings’ second try.
One of the stars of the season flanker Sam Stevens got through a lot of work for Redruth, putting in a try saving tackle at a critical moment of the match; fittingly at the end of the game he was named Redruth Supporters Player of the Season.
Back came Redruth with full-back James Tucker weaving his way to the try-line to re-gain the lead in Hellfire corner.
Tucker, who along with prop Jack Hodge, has made the South West Under 20 squad with both just one step away from a potential England Counties Under 20 cap.
Simmons looked a handful in mid-field, as did winger Tom Notman until he came off with a knee injury. Nonu also contributed hugely to the Redruth win with his drives that continually made ground.
The bonus point try for the Reds came from a classic No.8 try off the back of a 5 metre scrum from Howe, who stretched well to dot down, converted by Kevern.
Dings pulled a try back through prop Tom Anderson from a catch-and-drive, but Redruth had the final word with flanker Gidlow, fittingly, scoring their fifth try with Kevern again on the money with the extras.
Gidlow then left the fray to a standing ovation from an appreciative crowd.
Redruth Director of Rugby Nigel Hambly was pleased to end the season on a high, but was again frustrated with the number of errors his side made. “We got ahead and then conceded a score; it was a little bit the story of our season out there today. Basics, stuff that we do in training but can’t get right on match day, still great for the supporters to end the season on a win.
