On Saturday the 2's continue their quest to win the league when they host Veor RFC with a 2.30pm kick-off.
So far this season Veor have won 10 of their 17 matches which is a good effort as they are currently running without a home ground and have played quite a few of their matches at Redruth. On their day Veor can give any side in the league a good game and only two weeks ago they pushed 3rd place Perranporth close only losing by 5-24..
Earlier in the season the Reds won the encounter between the two clubs by 67-17 in a game also played a the Recreation ground.
Saturdays game will be a huge milestone in the rugby career of two stalwarts of the Veor club. Scott Lake and Daniel Arthur will both be playing their 300th game for the club. To reach 300 matches is a fantastic achievement in itself but to reach 300 for one club is even more special. Congratulations in advance gentlemen from all at Redruth RFC.

The Redruth 2nds had a blank weekend last Saturday but the week before kept their title challenge on track with a 48-8 win over Newquay Hornets. The Reds remain in top spot 3 points clear of Saltash RFC and it looks increasingly lightly that the league will be decided when the two clubs face each other on the 23rd March at Saltash. At present the Reds leading scorer Dean Wills is also the leagues leading scorer with 271 points and he is also the leagues leading try scorer with 15.
