On Saturday the 2's continue on their quest to win the league when they host Illogan Park RFC with a 2.30pm kick-off.
The 'Rats' who play their rugby, not surprisingly, in the park of the nearby village are having a bit of a tough season. Park have only won 3 of their 13 matches, those coming against Camborne School of Mines, Bodmin and Liskeard-Looe. This places them in 10th place on 13 points with a -334 points difference. Last time out Park lost to Newquay Hornets at home by 7-31. The Reds though need to be on their guard as in the corresponding fixture last season Park came out on top by 15-12.
The Redruth 2nds continued their winning ways last Saturday with a thumping 92-7 win over Helston RFC, this win kept them in the top spot with 64 points, 3 ahead of rivals for the title Saltash RFC. Saltash do though have a slightly better points difference, + 530 compared to the Reds +501.
At present their leading scorer Dean Wills is also the Nations leading scorer with 217 points and along with Jayden Oakes he is the leagues highest try scorer with 11.

Weather watch: While the rest of the nation shivers it will be a balmy 7 degrees in Redruth on Saturday with only a gentle breeze from the east to keep you cool!
Look out for team news on Friday.
