This Saturday Reduth take on familiar rivals in the shape of Clifton RFC who make the relatively short trip down from Bristol. The two sides have met in many league matches over the years with many an exciting encounter taking place. The Reds edged a close tussle by 28 – 20 up at Clifton earlier in the season.
Clifton currently sit mid table in 9th place with a record of 12 wins and 12 defeats. This consistency of result has continued to be the way since Christmas with 4 wins and 4 defeats. Last Saturday saw a narrow defeat at home to Henley. Clifton’s leading scorer is Bradley Barnes on 150 and their leading try scorer is Ian Clark on 8.
The Reds come into the match after an excellent bonus point away win at Canterbury where the team gained some revenge for the defeat earlier in the season at Redruth. This win has left the Reds in a clear 4th place and whilst the promotion play-off spot is probably now out of reach, third position is still possible with a strong finish to the season.
After the match join the players in the Clubhouse to watch live the England v Scotland Calcutta Cup match on the big screen and plasma TV’s. If that’s not enough then stay on and join in the fun with the club social evening that follows.
DON'T FORGET - KICK-OFF IS AT 2.00pm.
Referee: Jack Lewars
Assistant Referees: Stephen Hambley & Andrew Coles.
