On Saturday Redruth welcome to the Recreation Ground Hornets RFC who make the relatively short trip down the M5 and the A30 to the Recreation Ground.

Hornets as your are probably aware play their rugby on the outskirts of Weston-Super-Mare and are one of the clubs in this league who have a 3G pitch. With all the rain that has fallen over the last few weeks Saturdays match will be played on a somewhat difference surface.
This season Hornets are currently in 11th place with 42 points looking nervously over their shoulder at Bournville who are in the 3rd relegation spot. Hornets have won 6 and drawn 1 of their 19 matches and have a -18 points difference which indicates that when they win they win big. The visitors have had two good wins over the last two weeks beating Clifton at home by 45-27 and then last week winning away at Chester by 20-13. In the match between the two sides played back in November the Reds came out on top by the remarkable score of 38-36!
Chester's man with the boot is Jamie Elswood (fly-half) with 130 points and top try scorer Charlie Carter (full-back) with 7.

Last week the Reds came away from the match up at Loughborough with a 4 try bonus point which on another day could have been more. This result puts the Reds into 7th place on 55 points having won 10 and drawn 2 of their 19 matches.
The Reds leading try scorers are Matt Pritchard & Frankie Nowell on 7 with Ben Fox just behind on 6 and Rhys Brownfield tops the points tally with 43.
